Behind the Scenes: Setting Up Our Stand at NOPE 2025

It's that time of year again! The Natural & Organic Products Europe (NOPE) exhibition is one of the highlights of our calendar, and this year's event promised to be our best showing yet. Join us for a behind-the-scenes peek at our setup day adventures...

Sun's Out, Stands Up!

What a gloriously un-British day to travel up to London! With the sun beaming down and temperatures hitting a rather lovely 22°C (practically tropical by UK standards), our team headed to the ExCeL centre with excitement and anticipation.

Last week, we'd done a quick mock setup of our stand in our Hampshire warehouse. Everything looked fantastic. We were confident and prepared.

Or so we thought.

Box Fort Building 101

There's nothing particularly glamorous about trade show setup day. It's essentially grown adults building elaborate box forts—albeit ones featuring award-winning natural deodorants!

We arrived to find two pallets waiting outside our allocated space, and everyone immediately set about transforming these flat-packed materials into our home for the next few days.

"Pass the cabinet key!" "Has anyone seen the projector cable?" "Who's got the next round of teas?"

The cardboard display panels we use are a conscious choice and align with our commitment to avoiding unnecessary plastic. This year's design beautifully showcases our latest innovation: refillable pouches for our spray and roll-on deodorants, a significant step forward in our plastic reduction journey.

The Great Ocean & Coconut Calamity

Setup was progressing smoothly until someone uttered those dreaded words: "Where's the Ocean & Coconut spray?"

Cue the panic. Not only is our Ocean & Coconut deodorant spray one of our bestsellers, but we'd also entered it (and its refill) into an award category. Plus, it's consistently one of the most popular options at our scent station. And somehow, we'd left the entire stock back at the warehouse.

After a brief moment of despair, we remembered the beauty of wide distribution: there was a Holland & Barrett just a tube ride away in Canary Wharf. Our managing director Thomas (who co-owns our family business with his mum Sally and dad Stuart) immediately volunteered for the rescue mission.

One hasty Tube journey later, Thomas found five bottles on the shelf—just enough to save our display! The staff might have been slightly bemused watching him clear their entire stock, but such is the life of a natural deodorant entrepreneur.

Ready to Welcome Visitors

By late afternoon, our stand was finally complete. Our comprehensive range was displayed in all its Vegan Society approved, Leaping Bunny certified glory. The scent station was set up, awards were gleaming, and our innovative refill pouches were positioned for maximum impact.

The team stepped back to admire our work—a beautiful representation of our brand values and commitment to creating genuine natural deodorants that really work. We're particularly excited to showcase our refill options, which we've offered since 2013 as part of our commitment to reducing packaging waste.
